Synopsis |
When Mateusz, a former border guard, takes his teenaged sons to a remote cabin on the Polish/Ukranian border, he hopes for a moment of family bonding. Worried that they are becoming too soft, this trip will be the perfect tonic for a family growing more and more distant. Holed up in a remote outpost, situated next to a jail that housed illegal immigrants, the boys and their father wait out the cold, barely understanding one another. But when a man, half frozen and out of his mind, emerges from the forest, Mateusz senses something wrong—there is simply no reason for this person to be here, but the stranger manages to mumble that there are others freezing in the forest. Handcuffing the man to his bed, Mateusz heads into the frigid wasteland to look for survivors, while his sons watch over the man, suddenly in charge of a situation growing increasingly tense.
