Mission Statement
The Rochester International Film Group (RIFG) is a non-profit arts organization of southeastern Minnesota film enthusiasts dedicated to create a cultural experience that enhances the quality of life, inspires creativity, and expands our lives through the cinema experience of international, independent and Minnesota-made films.
Audience
Our target audience is the general public in southeastern Minnesota, including children (9-12), young adults, adults and seniors. This includes people with disabilities. We also target language interest groups and all ethnic groups living in the area.
Volunteering
We are always looking for volunteers to help, primarily with our Spring film festival. We need people to help distribute posters, staff the information booth at the festival and get the word out. Please email us or send a message to our RIFG Facebook page, Twitter or Instagram. if you are interested in being an RIFG volunteer.
RIFG Activities
Film Festival: RIFG presents an international film festival in the spring at a local movie theater in conjunction with the Minneapolis St Paul Film Society.
Library Series: RIFG cosponsors the Film Movement video series, iFILMS: International and Independent Films at the Rochester Public Library. Other Activities: RIFG promotes film related and fund raising activities sponsored by cooperating local organizations (example: RIA, Rochester Art Center).

We are supported by individual and business donations and grants.
This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Southeastern Minnesota Arts Council thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts & cultural heritage fund.
