Synopsis |
A mesmerizing journey of love, loyalty, and magic begins with the auspicious arrival of a white camel, born under the camel-shaped cloud bringing good luck. Preparing for a new baby themselves, the nomadic Mongolian family must sell the young ‘celestial camel’ to pay a debt. When 12 year-old Bayir is left in charge, the unstoppable mother camel escapes to chase after her calf. Bayir follows her across the Kalmykian steppe on an oversized motorcycle, encountering Buddhist monks summoning the rain, a young girl, and a wayward teen circus performer. The often surprising adventures of an endearing Mongolian boy and his camels weave an enthralling, classic and timeless tale.
